Blackpool have told Liverpool that they will have to pay the Seasiders £9m to sign target Charlie Adam, the Daily Mirror reports.
Reds manager Kenny Dalglish has been a long term admirer of the 26 year old and made a bid in the January transfer window for the midfielder. Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston is determined to make the most out of the Blackpool captain and has bumped up the valuation to try and cash in on the Scottish international.
Liverpool’s owners may be reluctant to meet Blackpool’s valuation and Dalglish could lose out on the deal, despite how much Dalglish and Adam want the deal to happen. Adam is in the last year of his contract at Bloomfield Road and is looking to move to Merseyside to increase his ambitions of playing in the Champions League and challenging for the Premiership.
